Formed in 2009, the Sierra Vista Community Band (SVCB) is the only community concert band in Southeastern Arizona that rehearses and performs year round. The band's 40-plus members hail from Sierra Vista, Hereford, Tombstone, Fort Huachuca, Bisbee, Douglas and everywhere in between. The ages of the instrumentalists range from 10 to over 80. The band has a wide range of playing abilities where everyone can fit in and enjoy playing.

Despite sharing many of the same interests and pastimes, we all are inspired by different things that lead us to work seamlessly in a creative setting. We continue to perform for our audiences in meaningful ways and with various compositions.

The Sierra Vista Community Band performs music that draws from a variety of genres including classical, jazz. marches, rock, and modern to contemporary melodies, Our music is composed by many different composers from various countries. The band has musicians from wide range of ages and abilities that provide a unique experience for members while delivering energetic and enthusiastic performances. Our musicians are inspired by their own passion for music and love for the community. We hope you will enjoy our music and join us for our performances. There are no auditions to join. The only requirement is the ability to read music and a commitment to attend rehearsals regularly. Rehearsals are held Tuesdays from 6:30 pm to 8:30 pm at the Rothery Center Band Room.
